Budget training

There will be three different opportunities for budget training in the upcoming months.

If you think you need any of the following that require RRC approval, just let me know.  DJP

INSTRUCTOR-LED DEPT
AND RRC BUDGET ENTRY COURSE

This instructor-led
course provides both departmental staff and RRC managers and
designees with an
overview of the budgeting process and includes additional
information specific
to RRC allocations at the end of the session for RRC managers
and designees.  This
course is required for employees who do
not already have access to Budget Entry/Position Budgeting in
the financial
system.  Review the
course description
and upcoming schedule online at www.umn.edu/ohr/trainingservices/financial/courses/index.html#be.  IMPORTANT: This course
requires RRC approval
to be emailed to Training Services before an employee is able to
register.

BUDGET ENTRY AND
POSITION BUDGETING REFRESHERS

Online refreshers
will be available in late April or early May for employees who
are responsible
for budgeting at the DeptID or RRC level who have access already
to Budget
Entry/Position Budgeting in the financial system and would like
a training
review.  The refresher
courses are not a
substitute for the required classroom training; however,
classroom training
does not need to be repeated if it was completed in prior years.  Access to these refreshers
will be available
online at:

www.umn.edu/ohr/trainingservices/financial/courses/index.html#ber.

BUDGET ENTRY LABS

Budget Entry labs are
for staff to bring real work and get questions answered
regarding the budget
entry process.  Training
must already
have been completed in order to attend a lab.
An upcoming lab schedule is available online at www.umn.edu/ohr/trainingservices/financial/courses/index.html#bel.
